Skis at the ready, get set, go!
The summer here in Obergurgl was wonderful, but we are ready to put the days of summer and autumn behind us. The first snow has already fallen and our ski instructors' skis have already been dusted off, with sharp edges and a freshly polished bases, they are just waiting to be used on the wide pistes and long descents of Obergurgl.
Long before the opening day, we are preparing for the coming season in order to offer our guests the best skiing experience they can imagine. Around 140 highly trained ski and snowboard instructors are in the starting blocks this year and are more than motivated to teach beginners the art of skiing/snowboarding, to improve their technique with advanced learners and to perfect skiing with professionals.
This year we are celebrating 100 years of the Obergurgl ski school and are very proud to be one of the oldest ski schools in Austria. Since 1922 we have stood for highest quality, the latest ski technology, highly trained teachers and much more.
Life is better on the slopes and we'll get you there. It is important to us to teach the happiness of skiing to as many people as possible. We all know the feeling too well that the slopes sometimes are not enough and that pure joy only comes with the first lines in fresh deep snow. With our ski and mountain guides, we will take you safely to places and mountains that you have only dreamed of until now.
Skis are not just pieces of wood, steel and fiberglass. They are tools to escape everyday life. A way of expressing yourself personally. A way to overcome fears, push boundaries and share incredible experiences with friends.
We wish you a successful 2022/23 ski season and look forward to many unforgettable moments on the mountain in Obergurgl.
