If you can’t get enough of skiing on perfectly groomed slopes during the day, you’ve come to the right place. At the end of the longest side valley in Tyrol, the Oetz Valley, Obergurgl, Europe’s highest parish village and the Jewel of the Alps also offers the ultimate adventure by night.

Obergurgl’s unique night skiing takes place on 8 km of floodlit slopes.  Start on top of the Festkogl, ski past the Nederhütte and back down to the village center or Festkogl gondola where you can give your muscles a short rest.

Of course something impressive and spectacular also belongs to a perfect evening. Every Tuesday night at 9.00 pm the Obergurgl Ski School present their skills in a ski show. The “Return of the Pioneers” from 1922 to today takes you on a journey back into the history of Obergurgl and the development of snow sports in the Alps. From techniques on wooden skis to breathtaking stunts such as jumping through fire and wild instructors on motorbikes, there is so much to see and have you in awe at the night ski show in Obergurgl!

Perfect sound and lighting are most important when it comes to putting on a show. NEW this winter 2011/2012 – we have the Oetz Valley’s best sound system up on the Festkogl. The grand finale to a terrific night’s skiing and ski show, is an unforgettable and spectacular fireworks display. Not to be missed!
